Items Needed
- 15 chaos runes, a chaos talisman or tiara, and an empty bowl.
- Food and gear for the outlaws and for King Roald (level 47).
Walkthrough
- Talk to Rat. Kill the outlaws west of Varrock until you have his 5 papers, put them in the folder and bring it back.
- Deliver Rat's letter to Surok Magis in Varrock. He has a secret for you: infuse his metal wand with chaos runes at the Chaos Altar.
- Bring the glowing wand and an empty bowl to Surok. Take his letter back to Rat.
- Rat sends you to Zaff of Zaff's Staffs. Zaff gives you the beacon ring; go and tell Surok that he is under arrest.
- Surok has King Roald under a mind-control spell. Fight the king until he is low on health (do not let the fight drag on), and Zaff removes the spell.
- Tell Rat what happened.
Rewards
- 1 Quest Point
- 8,000 Runecrafting XP and 2,000 Defence XP
- Beacon ring, and the secret of the Chaos Tunnels (42 Mining to use them)
