• A spade, some garlic and 5 coins.
• A fishing rod (Grandpa Jack in Hemenster sells one).

1. Talk to the dwarf. To earn the dwarves' friendship, win the Hemenster fishing contest; they give you a Fishing Contest Pass.
2. Talk to Grandpa Jack in the house by Hemenster. The fish in the lake are carp, and the best bait is red vine worms.
3. Red vine worms: climb through the loose fence into McGrubor's Wood, north of Hemenster (watch out for the guard dogs), and use your spade by the red vines.
4. Garlic: there is some in a kitchen in Seers' Village or Ardougne.
5. At the contest, give your pass to Morris at the gate, then pay Bonzo 5 coins to enter.
6. The best spot, by the pipes, is taken by a sinister stranger (a vampyre). Use your garlic on the pipe to scare him off, then take his place.
7. Fish with the red vine worms until the contest ends. Your giant carp wins the Hemenster fishing trophy.
8. Bring the trophy back to the dwarf.
