• Ghostspeak amulet and a spade.
• A needle, 5 balls of thread, a silver bar, bronze wire and a hammer.
• Armour and food for the experiments (up to level 51).

1. Read the signpost in Canifis: a butler is wanted at the castle to the north-east. Talk to Dr Fenkenstrain there. He wants body parts to build a creature.
2. Search the ground floor bookcases. Pull 'The Joy of Gravedigging' for a marble amulet and 'Handy Maggot Avoidance Techniques' for an obsidian amulet. Use one on the other to make a star amulet.
3. Put the star amulet in the memorial in the graveyard near the castle. Go down into the experiment cave, kill experiments and take the key from the chest. The cave leads to the Rolo family graves.
4. Dig the Rolo graves with your spade: Lady Rolobrae has the torso, Lord Rolomere the arms and Lord Rolovanne the legs.
5. Head: wear the ghostspeak amulet and talk to the headless gardener ghost in the castle garden. He points you to Ed Lestwit's grave in the graveyard east of Canifis: dig it up.
6. Brain: take the pickled brain from the table in the Canifis pub (talk to Roavar) and squeeze it into the head. Give all the parts to Fenkenstrain, then a needle and 5 thread.
7. Repair the lightning conductor: get the shed key from the gardener ghost, take a garden cane from the shed and the garden brush from the cupboard, and tie them with bronze wire. Sweep the castle chimney: a conductor mould falls out.
8. Cast a silver conductor with the mould and the silver bar, and repair the conductor on the castle roof. The creature comes to life.
9. Fenkenstrain sends you to destroy the creature in the tower; it tells you the truth instead. Pickpocket the Ring of Charos from Fenkenstrain (25 Thieving).
